When the world's population is given a glimpse of their future due to a mysterious global event, it forces everyone to come to grips with whether their destinies can be fulfilled or avoided.

Olivia runs into the man from her vision.

When an elderly Nazi prisoner claims he can explain why the blackout lasted 137 seconds, Mark and Janis travel to Germany to see him and discover they have to pardon him in return for his information. Meanwhile, Demetri learns when and how he will die from a anonymous caller, and Aaron tries to learn the truth about his daughter’s death by requesting an exhumation of the body.

Olivia and Bryce encounter a very upbeat patient who relates to them his flashforward. When a problem is found, he is scheduled for surgery, but Bryce realizes that an important piece of health information was contained in the patient’s flashforward. Olivia, trying the inevitability of her own flashforward, resists acting on Bryce’s revelation, and endangers the patient. Meanwhile, Demetri and Mark wind up at odds, with Demetri wanting to act directly somehow to prevent his own believed doom, while Mark realizes that Demetri’s fears are driving his actions more than rational consideration. Nicole returns to work as the Benford’s babysitter, but with a shocking revelation about her flashforward. And we discover some truly remarkable information regarding Mr. Simcoe.

Mark fields questions questions from the Senate Intelligence Committee about his flash-forward during a hearing about funding Wedeck’s team. Janis ponders how her fast-forward will impact her current relationship, and Olivia receives information about Mark’s flash-forward.

Mark, Demetri, and Wedeck try to link the attack on Janis to an attack on them; Olivia confronts Mark about his flash-forward; Demetri and Gough track a clue that was foreshadowed in Mark’s flash-forward; Lloyd’s son Dylan goes missing from the hospital; Simon contacts a reluctant acquaintance.

Mark, Demetri, Gough and MI6 agent Fiona Banks investigate a Blue Hand club and its possible connection to some recent suicides. Meanwhile, Aaron receives a surprise visit from a former army buddy of his late daughter’s, Demetri comes clean with Zoey about his lack of a flashforward, and Nicole helps Bryce uncover the mystery of his flashforward while volunteering at the hospital.

While Mark and Demetri travel to Hong Kong to find Demetri's mysterious prophetess, Zoey realizes what her vision really means and Lloyd prepares to go public with the group's involvement in the the Blackout.

Mark must meet with a therapist to regain his badge after being suspended by the FBI; Demetri reluctantly teams with CIA agent Vogel to search for Lloyd; Janis learns family secrets about Simon.

Mark questions Lloyd about a phone conversation from their flashforwards, while Aaron seeks out the Jericho unit after his daughter. Meanwhile, Zoey tries to prevent Demetri's destined future.

In Somalia, Vogel and the others investigate the remaining tower for clues to the Blackout. Meanwhile, Olivia tries to convince Charlie to say what she saw during her flashforward, and Bryce tells Nicole that he has cancer.

Mark and Vogel execute a plan to uncover the identity of the mole in the FBI; Mark moves out of the house to protect his family; Keiko continues her search for Bryce.

Demetri decides to put a rush on his wedding plans with Zoey when the captured FBI mole confirms the date of his prophesized murder. Wedeck tries to help Aaron infiltrate Jericho in order to rescue Tracy, and Olivia's friendship with Lloyd grows stronger

While Mark and the other agents search for the missing Demetri, Zoey learns the price she'll have to pay to save him. Meanwhile, Olivia discovers who sent her the text message about Mark's drinking.

Janis continues to thwart her fellow FBI agents as an inside mole to a mysterious employer; Olivia is given some disturbing news by Gabriel, who has been subjected to numerous flashforwards; and Aaron's life is in danger in Afghanistan when he tries to blend in with the locals as he continues his search for his daughter.

Demetri and Agent Banks attempt to track down a killer as questions arise about the universe course-correcting itself, when people who thought they'd escaped their fates are found dead; Mark reluctantly agrees to help Simon find his sister, Annabelle, but discovers he's withholding the truth about her true circumstances; the FBI discovers the identity of Suspect Zero; and Nicole learns the whereabouts of Keiko - the woman in Bryce's flashforward - but struggles with whether to share this information, due to her growing feelings for him.

It's April 28 - the day before the prophesized flashforward date - and as the world waits to see if their future visions will come true, Mark must do everything in his power to protect Gabriel, who is the bridge between Dyson Frost and the Global Blackout; Aaron locates his daughter's captors and puts his life on the line in order to rescue her; Janis is tasked with killing a fellow agent; and Simon comes face to face with the head of the nefarious organization that may be responsible for the blackout.

Mark continues his interrogation of Hellinger in a desperate attempt to find out when the next blackout will occur; Demetri must choose between helping Janis and Simon break into NLAP to stop the blackout from occurring, or turning the fugitive Simon in to the FBI; Lloyd finds the common denominator that can help him solve the complex equation he was working on in his flashforward; while Tracy fights for her life, Aaron discovers why Jericho was after her; and Nicole wrestles over her strong feelings for Bryce and what would happen if she told him she knew the whereabouts of Keiko.

It's D-Day - April 29, 2010 - and while everyone waits to see if their flashforward visions come true, Mark uncovers the date of the next blackout, and Simon, with Demetri, attempts to stop it from happening by breaking into the NLAP mainframe.
